Buster is a 3 year old male staffie mix that weighs around 50lbs. He came to us as a local owner surrender after his dad felt he couldn’t provide everything he needed. He has been fostered by one of our experienced Foster’s, so we will let them tell you about him:
“Buster is a tiny staffie boy who tries his hardest to be on his best behaviour. He is a smart boy who knows lots of tricks (and enjoys learning new ones!) and loves solving dog puzzles.
He is medium to high energy. He loves walks, playing with other dogs and toys but once he’s used that energy he is down to have a little nap cuddled up with you. Buster is crate trained and sleeps in it at night or if he has to stay home by himself. He’s great with other dogs, understands when they don’t want to play and respects their boundaries. Something to keep in mind, though, Buster is so excited to meet new doggie friends that after the initial meet he will most likely try going straight into play.
Buster has been great meeting people but sometimes when they act scared or mean (you know, the people who have preconceived ideas about dogs looking like a certain breed) around him- he feels their energy and gets upset. He is currently taking calming treats and CBD oil to help him stay cool. He doesn’t do well with kitties. Just way too excited to meet them and will most likely make wrong decisions if he’s allowed to get to them. He is muzzle trained and can wear it if necessary (like small crowded places that can make him nervous).”
As with all of our dogs, he is neutered and up-to-date on all shots and vaccines. If you are well experienced with the breed and think you have the lifestyle that fits this adorable dude, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out an application under the Foster/Adopt tab.
