Lila is an feisty 11 month old female lab mix that weighs around 45lbs. She was sent up to Washington state via Project Freedom Ride from 4 Legged Friends of Lubbock for private adoption, and when it didn’t work out, they called us to help so she didn’t have to be sent back to Texas.
Little Lila is a rambunctious puppy still in many ways, as she feels it’s her job to test boundaries with everyone (dog and human alike)….she knows not to jump up to say hello, but with new people she likes to make sure that rules applies still ha ha. Because of her puppy like manners, we do not feel a home with small children is ideal for her, Her new family needs to be diligent with her training and keep her structured and routine for success. She is VERY eager to please and treat motivated, which makes training fun with her! She does love other dogs, big and small, but get nervous excited when she first sees them, and comes in too hot. She has done a two week board and train with The Pack Dog Training, which now has her totally face halti and muzzle trained. She has been living in a home with 12 dogs and even gone on leash to off leash dog parks with no real issues (besides the occasional reminder of her manners). We have not tested with cats, but will so in the near future.
She is great on leash, with her face halti, and completely house broken and crate trained. We feel an active home, that will make physical and mental stimulation a daily routine, is ideal for her becoming the perfect girl we know she can be! She has a bit of separation anxiety when first left alone, crying for about 10-15 minutes before she calms down.
Lila is up to date on all her shots and spayed. If you think you need this little lady in your life, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out an application under the foster to adopt tab ❤️🐾
